Gundam Transforms Your Setup in Iconic First-Ever Secretlab Mobile Suit Gaming Chair Release
The iconic Mobile Suit Gundam anime franchise is commemorated in the international release of a new gaming chair collection by Secretlab.
Via a press release, Secretlab launched a new Gundam collection inspired by Amuro Ray’s RX-78-2 Gundam and Char Aznable’s MS-06S Zaku II (and MS-06 Zaku II). The Secretlab Mobile Suit Gundam Collection marks the two brands' first-ever collaboration, featuring special edition designs for Secretlab's TITAN Evo and MAGNUS Pro gaming chairs, and its SKINS Lite chair covers. Readers can check out the new Gundam gaming chair collection and accessories below.
The next Berserk Cutie1 figurine from Prime 1 Studio showcases the first form of Guts in his grisly Berserker armor, as seen in the iconic manga.
The chairs are available on Secretlab's Gundam landing page and were teased as "specially created for fans who grew up with the anime, drawing on Amuro Ray’s iconic RX-78-2 Gundam and Char Aznable’s one-of-a-kind, blazing red MS-06S Zaku II." They come outfitted with Secretlab's cold-cure foam for improved pressure relief, a sculpted seat base allowing for a range of sitting angles, and lumbar support. The RX-78-2 version features nods to the iconic mobile suit, with Amuro's pilot tag stitched into the top of the chair. "Individual vents and armor panels have been meticulously mapped from the RX-78-2 onto our chair, and then adapted to fit the unique contours of the seat to give it a truly mechanical look," the press release adds. The Secretlab Mobile Suit Gundam Edition MAGPAD desk was also released, offering stylish Gundam-inspired designs and clean cable management.
The TITAN Evo MS-06S Zaku II Edition also features Char's pilot tag stitched in, adding details like the Zaku II's mono-eye and the emblem of the Principality of Zeon on the back of the seat. Secretlab's Gundam chairs follow numerous anime-inspired collections, such as Dragon Ball's gaming chairs and corresponding Goku and Vegeta chair sleeves, as well as luxury collabs inspired by Naruto's Akatsuki and the Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen anime series.
An upcoming new Cowboy Bebop necklace evokes the iconic Swordfish II shapeship from the classic anime, and fans can pre-order theirs now.
Crunchyroll streams Mobile Suit Gundam, describing the series: "Universal Century 0079. The rebel space colonies of the Principality of Zeon launch a war of independence against the Earth Federation, using humanoid fighting vehicles called mobile suits to overwhelm the Federation Forces and conquer half of Earth's surface. Months later, the Federation has finally developed its own prototype mobile suits at a remote space colony. But when the colony suffers a Zeon surprise attack, these new weapons fall into the hands of a motley crew of civilians and cadets. Fate places a youth named Amuro Ray at the controls of the white mobile suit Gundam..."
